Summerville, is located just 24 miles inland of Charleston, SC.  Summerville, also known as The Flower Town in the Pines because of the millions of azaleas that take bloom in the spring, and host many events throughout the year including the Flowertown Festival that coincides with The Cooper River Bridge Run in the spring and the Farmers Market in the summer. The town has several phenomenal parks including the Ashley River Park, and the Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site both located on the Ashley River. Johns Island is bordered by Wadmalaw, Seabrook, Kiawah, Edisto, Folly & James Islands and named after St. Johns Parish in Barbados. West of the Ashley as it is formally called is located across the Ashley River from Downtown Charleston and flanked by scenic waterfront vistas and marshes of the Ashley & Stono rivers. Located just north of the Charleston peninsula across from the Cooper River, Mt Pleasant has been one of the fastest growing cities in South Carolina. Historic Patriots Pointe and Boone Hall plantation draw many tourists from around the world and host numerous events throughout the year. Mt Pleasant is also bordered by Sullivan’s Island & Isle of Palms Beaches and is surrounded by many waterways making it a very desirable place to live.
